Health officials meet in Yaounde

Members of the board of institutions charged with training nurses, midwives and health technicians have started meeting in their 20th session this March 30, 2016, at the Yaounde Conference Centre.

While opening the conclave, the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Public Health in charge of Epidemics and Pandemics, Alim Hayatou stressed on the need for quality training that can offer improved healthcare in hospitals.

The Secretary of State frowned at the reception in hospitals which to him is yet to be up to standards.

In this light, the three-day meeting will lay emphasis on ethics
during training in health schools.
