Gyneco-obstetrics and pediatric Hospital will receive first aid in Feb 2015

The information was unveiled during the installation ceremony of the officials of this institution, yesterday Tuesday 16 December 2014, in Douala.

Emile Télesphore Mboudou, Chief of the Gynéco-obstetrics and pediatric hospital in Douala (HGOPED), and its Chairman of the Board of Directors, Madame Epée, née Kotto Mouyema Honorée Denise were installed in their functions, this Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at a ceremony presided over by Minister of public health André Mama Fouda.

People who fear the high cost of care in the reference Hospital were quickly reassured by the new boss of the structure. "This hospital is dedicated to the Cameroonian people, this isn't a private clinic. It is for all Cameroonians, rich, less rich, poor», noted Emile Télesphore Mboudou who also promised a technical platform of a "very high level ".

If we wait until February 2015 for first aid in this hospital, it is because the poor access roads which are yet to be finalized. "We know that the road was an important factor in this decision and the Government delegate confirmed that within two months, two months and a half, i.e. no later than end of February, the access road will be open to the public. 'Actually it is on this date that the hospital will open', reassured André Mama Fouda, Minister of public health.

The construction work on the road leading to this new hospital is being finish.
