Governor crusades against Tramadol

Midjiyawa Bakari Midjiyawa Bakari

Midjiyawa Bakari chaired a meeting for restitution of works of the first semi-annual meeting of Governors today.

In the past, governments have always fought against the sale of street drugs in general, particularly Tramadol; a substance supposedly used as a narcotic. This medicine has incalculable setback.

According to the governor, Midjiyawa Bakari, due to its doping effects, Tramadol is popular, among other terrorist networks to condition the youth to obtain their submission, consent, commitment as soldiers or suicide bombers. This warning was made on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in the conference room of the governor's services.

The seminar was attended by all the six Far North prefects, sub-prefects of the three cities of Maroua, parliamentarians, local councilors and heads of law enforcement forces. "Given all these derivatives and side effects of Tramadol, it may make its consumers dangerous for those around them. I instruct the strict regulation of the sale of pharmaceutical products," insisted Midjiyawa Bakari.

The number of subjects on which the governor explained in the meeting were that one can maintain the security of schools and public buildings, preparations for the school year 2015/2016, the implementation of the emergency plan in the Far North region, preservation of protected areas and the fight against desertification.

It is about turning on all the batting so that the Far North again can become a popular destination. The Governor invited all his employees to pull in all their efforts in what he called "the only real battle which deserves to be carried out. In other words the battle against poverty and for development."
