Cameroonian-born and Slovak side Spartak Trnava striker, Robert Ndip Tambe will be making his first appearance at the Europa League when his team takes on Hibernians FC of Malta on Thursday, June 30.

This meeting will be as part of the first round qualifiers of the Europa League and will see the Slovak side hosting the first leg. It will be an opportunity for 22-year-old former Cinoydev of Buea-Cameroon striker to have a taste of European continental football.

Ndip Tambe, who is known for his control, technical skill and dribbling ability, as well as his flair in beating players during one on one situation, will be looking forward to opening his goal scoring account with Spartak Trnava since joining them in January.

Tambe’s sharp mentality, good vision, positioning, quick reactions, opportunism, and agility have seen him surpassing defenders to score goals during his time in Cameroon.

Born on February 22, 1994, Robert Ndip Tambe in January 2016, signed a two-year contract with the Slovak side Spartak Trnava. He made his professional debut for Trnava against Michalovce on February 27, 2016.

So far, he has played a total of 444 minutes in 11 games, making four starts, and playing eight matches as a substitute. However, he is yet to find the back of the net. Tambe will be looking forward to a new season with so much confidence.

Spartak Trnava is ranked 231 out of 456 teams in UEFA Ranking and has had an upper hand over Hibernians FC in all their meetings in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers round.

In 1969, the game ended on a 6-2 aggregate in favour of Spartak Trnava. Also, in 2014, it was the Slovak side that emerged victorious with a 9-2 aggregate.

FC Spartak Trnava is one of the most successful clubs in Slovakia, having won both the Czechoslovak First League and the Czechoslovak Cup five times, and reaching the semi-final of the European Cup once and the quarter-final twice.

Both sides will meet on Thursday, June 30 in Slovakia, while the return leg will take place on July 7 in Malta.
