Philemon Yang received yesterday the secretary general of the Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports of the Francophonie (CONFEJES), Bouramah Ali Harouna, who is in Cameroon as part of the information and awareness training on the "Guide to develop and implement a National Youth Volunteer Programme'.

The programme was organized by the CONFEJES institution between October 12 to 14 2015 in Yaounde.

At the Star Building, two points were on the agenda of discussions with the Prime Minister. "First the end of the international seminar on national youth volunteering program which brought together delegates from more than ten countries."

Bouramah Ali Harouna stressed the important contribution of Cameroon at the meeting that led to "pretty conclusive" results.

The second point of the exchange focused on the operation of the CONFEJES which includes 43 states and governments with an office in 14 countries and Cameroon hosts an office.

The Secretary General of CONFEJES stressed that this was to take stock of the implementation of some programmes relating in particular to youth entrepreneurship, migration, but also to the sports policy and promotion of sport as a vehicle for peace and health, among others.

It should be stressed that the visit to Cameroon of Mr Ali Harouna comes as consultations are underway with the CONFEJES for the implementation of some programmes, the most important being the establishment of the National Cell for CONFEJES and Action 12 of CONFEJES on more widely distributed education and extension of Training Guide for trainers in management of sports facilities.

It should be recalled that Cameroon has, with the Democratic Republic of Congo, one of two representative office of the CONFEJES in Central Africa.
