Armed men, suspected to belong to the Nigerian Boko Haram sect, attacked the Goggolum village in the department of Mayo-Sava of the Far North Region, on Wednesday night.
According to unconfirmed reports, three peasants were killed and a herd of cattle were taken away. Houses were also burned, sources disclosed.
Just like the recent suicide bombing in Cameroon, other attacks recorded in recent weeks in the Far North of the country, although not claimed by Boko Haram, have been attributed to the Nigerian Islamist sect.
