Recent attacks in Fotokol has been the major concern in Cameroon lately. Many experts consulted on security measures are mostly asked about how it can be maintained.

Vincent Ntuda Ebodé, the geostrategist, is one of those experts. He was a guest at CRTV Radio on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, where he stated that the war against Boko Haram has intensified and has left the sect "really unbalanced." According to him Boko Haram now resorts to suicide attacks because it has been defeated in conventional conflicts.

"In reality the group cannot fight a conventional war," he said while arguing that the terrorist group uses a method that is specific to the movements of this nature.

About the period during which Boko Haram remained silent for sometime, Professor Ntuda Ebodé explained it does not mean there “calm” but rather "restructuring" in terms of acquisition of equipment, recruitment or redeployment.

"But in general, we knew from that moment that Boko Haram will be in trouble because of the coalition," he concluded.

For the Professor, the sect can strike anywhere in all countries that are in the coalition. He said it will strike with suicide bombers or bombs.

According to him the solution against these attacks is by strengthening the security forces. He also suggested the latter to no longer be content to be alert on suspicious persons but also monitor the bags that can carry bombs.

Vincent Ntuda Ebodé believes that Cameroon should have imitated its Chadian ally when it decided to ban the burqa in its territory in the fight against Boko Haram.
