Volleyball Lions kicked out of the competition

After their third defeat on Thursday against Argentina (3-0) the national selection is eliminated from the volley ball tournament. Beaten Thursday by Argentina 3 sets to 0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-23) in their third pool match (A) at the world Volleyball Championships, volleyball Lions have come to the end of the road.

This third defeat (after those against Australia and Venezuela) has just put an end to any hope in the Cameroon Team in Wroclaw (one of the seven host cities of the tournament) in Poland. It was the first confrontation between the two teams. David Feughouo finished top scorer of Cameroon with 14 points on 58 registrants from Cameroon.

Since the beginning of the competition, the Lions had lacked an address in reception. Alain Fossi Kamto (libero) tried to stabilize this aspect of the game without success.

"It was a big opportunity to play against the Argentina. We could win the last set but we were facing a really strong team," says the Cameroon captain Jean-Patrice Ndaki Mboulet. "I asked my players to stop looking at the score table and play. I believed that, it would be less stressful for the team and will try to take pleasure in playing," he explained at a press conference after the match.
