The midfielder set to win his first cap for the Indomitable Lions when they play Gambia in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.

HEARTS midfielder Arnaud Djoum is celebrating after being called up to the Cameroon squad for the first time.

Fans’ favourite Arnaud started his youth career in Belgium but was born in Cameroon’s capital city Yaounde which means he is eligible to play for the Indomitable Lions.

The midfield powerhouse has made 40 appearances for Hearts since signing back in September 2015, and has scored seven goals for the capital club.

This will not be his first taste of full international football.

Djoum’s previous international experience came when he turned out for the Belgium’s U-20s side.

The 27-year-old will be hopeful of lining up for Cameroon and gaining his first cap when they play Gambia in an African Cup of Nations qualifier on September 3 before facing Algeria in an international friendly three days later.
