Kana-Biyik scored the winner against Bordeaux

Bordeaux missed the opportunity to move into the top four in Ligue 1 after losing 2-1 to relegation-threatened Toulouse.

A bright start from Toulouse was rewarded with an early goal when Wissam Ben Yedder collected a long ball before turning into to space to fire a low shot into the bottom corner.

However, Bordeaux hit back just 10 minutes later through Diego Rolan, who reacted quickest to poke home from close range after the hosts had twice missed the opportunity to clear from a corner.

Bordeaux took charge of the game either side of the half-time interval, and only a fine save from Ali Ahamada prevented Tiago Ilori from heading home Wahbi Khazri's cross.

It was the hosts who took the lead a few minutes later when Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik climbed highest to meet Francois Moubandje's inviting cross with a powerful header.

Bordeaux enjoyed long spells on top, but were left frustrated by a fine second-half defensive display from Toulouse, and the visitors were forced to finish a disappointing night with 10 men when Ludovic Sane was dismissed for a second yellow card.
