The Cameroonian’s penalty at the 93rd-minute gave Schalke an incredible 4-3 win over Sporting Lisbon in a 7 goal thriller.
The 25-year-old’s late penalty shattered the hopes of the 10-man Portuguese side; Sporting Lisbon who had thought that they will at least snatch a draw away.
The visitors had earlier took a 16th-minute lead through Nani, but Chinedu Obasi made it1-1,meanwhile, goals from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Benedikt Howedes after the break gave Schalke a 3-1 lead.
However, Sporting responded with a brace from Adrien Silva who scored a penalty and later on leveled scores when he headed in a 78th-minute equalizer for the 10 men visitors.
The victory was Schalke’s first Group G triumph of the campaign.
