Eto'o in Cameroon Squad for Playoff

Striker Samuel Eto'o has been named in Cameroon's provisional squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup playoff against Cameroon next month. The Chelsea forward has been included in the 25-man squad by German coach Volker Finke, despite the player claiming his days with the Indomitable Lions are over.

Eto'o announced the decision to his colleagues in the dressing room after their lone goal victory over Libya in Yaoundé earlier in the month, which secured them passage to this round. However, he has remained silent on further talks about regarding the decision.

A four-time CAF Player of the Year, Eto'o's experience will be crucial for the Indomitable Lions for the first leg clash on October 13 in Rades. The return leg will take place in Yaounde between 15 and 19 November, with the winner qualifying for the Mundial in Brazil next year.
