Nigerian Midfielder Maarouf Yussuf is ready to boost Zamalek's defense line against Cameroon's Union Douala in the African Champions League next week, the Cairo giants announced on Wednesday.

The Egyptian league and cup champions, Zamalek, will host the Cameroonian team on Saturday in the second leg of the continental tournament's round 32.

Last Sunday, Zamalek opened their Champions League campaign with a vital 1-0 win over Douala at the first leg in Cameroon.

Yussuf, who injured his knee in Sunday's match, has just recovered and will be available for the return one according to Zamalek's official website.

Midfielder Ibrahim Abdel-Khalek also won't be available for Zamalek due to an injury, while winger Mahmoud Kahraba will reportedly be fit for the game.

Alongside rivals and runners-up Ahly, the Whites are representing Egypt in the African Champions League after finishing as champions in the Egyptian Premier League last season.

Should Zamalek march through, they will be facing either Tunisia's Club Africain or Algeria's MO Bejaia – who are currently trailing 1-0 following the first leg in Rades.

Zamalek currently lies second in the Egyptian league table with 41 points after 21 matches, six behind leaders Ahly.
