We've solved our internal problems since last World Cup - Assou-Ekotto

After watching his loan side QPR clinch Premier League promotion from the stands last Saturday, Benoît Assou-Ekotto has joined up with the Indomitable Lions for Cameroon’s World Cup preparations in the Austrian hills.

He gave a classically chilled-out walking interview with a reporter as he made his way to training, discussing his future and the World Cup.

Assou-Ekotto told the reporter that he enjoyed the euphoria of the Play-Off final, but that he was happier for the QPR lads than for himself, saying ‘They’ll be there next year.

There was also a classic Assou-Ekotto line, replying to the question, What did your teammates say to you when you arrived? He said, Bonjour!

He also alluded to the mood in the camp, saying, ‘we’ve solved our internal problems since the last World Cup, now we live in better harmony’.
