Under- 17 Lions qualify for next round of CAN

After the cancellation of the match against the Central African Republic, CAR, the Indomitable Lions cadets sailed to the first round of the 2015 CAN cadets.

The two sides were to meet on Sunday, June 15 in Yaoundé, but it could not be possible since visiting side, Central African Republic withdrew from the preliminary round of qualifying for the 16th edition of the African Cup of Nations U-17 category.

The meeting was to the first leg of the qualifying round between the two teams. Luckily for Cameroon’s U-17 Lions, Central African Republic withdrew its team from the competition. So, Sunday's game was simply cancelled.

Cameroon thus qualifies for the first round and will face Burkina Faso. This is from a statement released in the afternoon yesterday on the website of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT.
