Uganda’s Adipo to oversee Cameroon- Liberia match

The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) has appointed Uganda’s retired FIFA women referee, Catherine Adipo as the match assessor for the May 8th women Olympic qualifier between Cameroon and Liberia.

The game will be played at the Stade Omnisports, Ahmadou in Yaounde. The fixture will be handled by Congo’s Cynthia Imane Chancelle Ngakosso.

She will be assisted by fellow countrymen, Alida Severine Mouegni Moulongo (1st assistant), Emerence Gradie Matsanga (second assistant referee), Destinee Darcya Yengo Lemba (4th official).

The match commissioner is Toussaint Didavi Quentin from Benin. The appointment was confirmed by FIFA’s head of World and Olympic qualifiers, Gordon Savic.

About Catherine Adipo: Adipo joined the Uganda referees Association in 1989 and six years later (1995), she attained a FIFA badge, becoming the first women FIFA Referee in Uganda.

In 2005, she officiated at many local and international match- es including the Africa Women’s championship in South Africa before retiring the following year.
