U-20 Lions fail to qualify for African Youth championship

The U-20 lions would not be part of the African Youth Championship, Senegal 2015 following the 2-1 defeat suffered in South Africa. The Amajita qualified on a 3-2 aggregate.

Cameroon conceded the two goals signed Sjiyanda Ngubo and Fagrie Lakay attributed to individual errors.

Despite opening scores 2minutes into the game, the defense was porous and did not function well with Franck Bagnack and Moussa Baba not in their element. According to the Team Press officer, Albert Njie Mbonde, the second goal was counted even before the ball crossed the line.

The coach has opted for a compact midfield with Brian Anounga, Nicolas Abanda, Kunde Malong, Tabekou Ouambe, Mbassogog with one striker up front Noumbissie.

The federation and Sports Ministry representatives Tombi A Roko Sididki and Blaise Ongwba respectively are on ground to provide the players with the psychological support needed ahead of the encounter.
