The Prime Minister visited the sites on Monday and is optimistic about their timely delivery.

The grandstand of the Limbe Omnisports Stadium will be roofed over a larger area. This is an information gotten after the visit of the Prime Minister in the Southwest Region, on Monday, May 9, 2016.

One learns that the metal roof has been crafted and is in China, waiting to be transported to Cameroon. Its installation will surely silence many critics who denounced the discomfort which was exposed to the public. No one had so far understood why a stadium built in a high rainfall area like Limbe without a roofed grandstand. Only a small portion of the bleachers had been covered.

Construction of the Limbe stadium may be completed with the extension of this platform since we heard that “the access roads are being completed.” For other sites, it is optimism prevailing after the passage of the Prime Minister. Work is progressing in the reception facilities. In Limbe it is believed that the Centenary Stadium and Complexe Middle farm will be completed on time.

The Prime Minister wants that everything should be ready on time. “We visited the sites. We had a meeting. I am very happy with what I saw, what I heard. The AFCON will actually take place. There are not any problems. We have mended companies to continue working. The Government continues to work, the broader public sector as well, but we are definitely sure to have the AFCON. All questions that were asked and that people continue to ask were answered, will find answers and we are sure that things will happen in good conditions. I would also say this: all the companies that work with us are working well. The government also works well, “reassures Philemon Yang.
