Pierre Womé Nlend lands a french club

The former member of Renaissance de Ngoumou, Pierre Wome Nlend has won a contract with a club in the 3rd division in France.

The Cameroonian signed the amateur license with CF Chambly for the third division in France last week. The 35 year old will be with the Chambly-Thelle FC until the end of the season.

Pierre who was also the former AS Roma, Fulham and Inter Milan player will play his first game on Friday, October 3 against le Poiré-sur-Vie (8th National day).

Leaving Cameroon after his divorce with Naser club a few months ago, the double winner of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2000 and 2002 discreetly moved to Persan-Beaumont where he trained with Sannois-Saint.

He arrived in Europe in 1994, at the age of 16 years. Pierre Womé has progressed in all major European Championships except the Ligue 1.

He also passed through the Italian Serie A, especially (Inter Milan, AS Roma, Bologna, Brescia), Spanish la Liga (Espanyol Barcelona), (Fulham), the German Bundesilga (Werder Bremen, FC Cologne), English Premier League and the Championship of Turkey (Fenerbahce).

He was regarded as the head of the non-qualification of Cameroon at the World Cup 2006 after missing a penalty at the last minute of the last qualification match f against Egypt. Nlend has also refused to return to selection after being threatened several times, until his safety is assured.
