Panthère du Ndé face uphill task in Confederation Cup

2014 Cameroon Cup runners-up Panthère du Ndé will face an uphill task when they battle Rwanda League runners-up Rayon Sports in the preliminary round of the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup.

The first leg is scheduled for the Douala Reunification Stadium on Saturday (kick-off at 16h30 CAT).

The Bagangté outfit are making their third appearance in this competition, after recording a second round exit in their first two campaigns in 2010 and 2013, falling to AS Vita Club and USM Alger respectively.

And it would take something special for Panthère to progress to the next round, against a side that has been a regular African customer since the early 90s.

The Cameroonians may also run out of steam having just made their return to competitive action, while the Rwanda National League season is in full swing.

The return leg is scheduled in Kigali a fortnight later, with the aggregate winners set to face Cairo giants Zamalek in the next round.
