Exempted from the first round of qualifying for the World Cup in Russia 2018, Cameroon are looking forward to play against Niger for the second round on November 11.
On the other hand, Niger has become known after the first phase which pitted the 26 lowest-ranked teams in the world rankings.
Nigerians dominated Somalia in both games (2-0, 0-4). The first leg will be played on November 11 in Niamey before the return in Yaoundé, a week later. The 13 survivors of the first round, including Comoros, Chad and Botswana have earned the right to face the 27 best teams in the continent.
The third and final round will take place in the form of mini-league with five groups of four teams. After this phase which will run between October 2016 and November 2017, the first of each Pool will qualify for the World Cup in Russia.
