Morata injury could send Eto’o to Juventus

Juventus new boy Alvaro Morata could be out for two months, so the Italian champions may move for Samuel Eto'o.

Having fought to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, Juventus were stunned when the Spanish striker picked up a knee injury and they may look for another attacking recruit.

Juventus battled reported competition from Arsenal and Liverpool to sign Morata for £15.8 million, but the new man damaged his knee in his first training session with the Bianconeri.

Italian newspaper La Stampa believes that Juventus directors may make an unscheduled return to the market in order to cover for Morata's absence, which is estimated at between 40 days and two months.

Sky Italia reports that Juventus have also made contact with former Chelsea man Samuel Eto'o's representatives.

Eto'o is still searching for a new club since his contract at Stamford Bridge expired and he is said to be keen to stay in Europe.

It is believed that Juventus would offer a one-year contract and would hope to reduce the Cameroon international's wage demands, which currently are too high.
