Man United considering Nicolas Nkoulou

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Marseille centre-back Nicolas Nkoulou.

The Red Devils have been hit with a number of injury problems in defensive areas throughout the season, but have faced criticism for failing to sign a centre-back in last summer's transfer window.

A number of players have been linked with Old Trafford in recent weeks, but according to Buzz Sport, the club's board have identified Nkoulou as the ideal signing.

The 25-year-old, who has previously been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, joined Marseille from Monaco in 2011 and is fast closing on 300 Ligue 1 appearances.
