The Indomitable Lionesses have moved to Vancouver located 40km from Surrey where they had been training since May 15 for their last training phase towards the preparation of the World Cup on Saturday in Canada.

The 23 Cameroonian delegation including selected players, the technical team as well as the administrative team arrived on Thursday June 4 within the specified deadline time by FIFA.

FIFA required that each delegation must be at the competition location at least 72 hours before the kick-off on June 6, 2015.

In Group C, Cameroon will compete with Ecuador, Switzerland and the World Champions Japan for their first round in Vancouver. Their first match will be against Ecuador on Monday June 8.

Before their departure form Surrey on Wednesday, the team trained for a while in the afternoon. Although the starting lineup of coach Enow is not yet known he stated that there are key players for the right positions.

He asserted that the ladies are fit and ready to play their roles especially with the defense and have been provided with reserved players.

Carl Enow said he has “no idea” about the opponents in Group C adding that he gets information about them via the internet.

“We get to see footage of matches played by our opponents on Youtube”, he said.

The match against Ecuador next Monday will start at 16h in Vancouver and at midnight in Cameroon.
