Ligue 1: Coton Sport beats Canon

In a day 15 match that took place in Garoua on Thursday, the home side, Coton Sport narrowly defeated visiting Canon of Yaoundé 1-0.

The tough resistance from the guys of Mekok-Me-Ngonda, was finally broken at the 80th minute when Stéphane Kingue amaMpondo break the deadlock to give the home side the lead.

This was the second goal from Stéphane Kingue who scored one of the two goals that saw the boys of Coach Didier Gomes silenced visiting ASEC Mimosas Abidjan (2-1) in the Orange CAF Confederation Cup.

The victory sent Coton Sport of Garoua to the fourth position on the log with two games in hand against potential championship rivals Union Sportive Douala and Bamboutos Mbouda.
