League 2: Tiko United, Ngoketounja FC fight relegation

The two clubs across the Mongo, Tiko United, Ngoketounja fc, have just 25 points after 27 days of play in the ongoing League 2.

Tiko United who were nicknamed “born again Tiko United” due to the series of victories they recorded in the early start of the league, lost their footing after ten days of play.

The club which was rescued back to league Two thanks to the decision by the Normalisation Committee to increase the number of teams to 18, seemed to have fail to utilized the second live given to them.

Also, newly promoted Ngoketounja fc from Ndop, who also saw promotion thanks to the decision to promote eight teams to League Two out of ten, have been limping since the league began. Ngoketounja fc, just like Tiko United are just 3 points above relegation zone.

On their part, Dynamic fc of Buea has been limping so far. The club has been finding it difficult to record back to back victories. After beating 6th place Feutcheu fc at home, the team was later on humiliated 0-4 in Yaounde by current league leaders, Dragon fc. They are however at the 12th position with 32 points and a game in hand.

However, National Polytechnic of Bambui seems to be on the right track after obtaining 42 points in 27 games. They are currently at the seventh position on the log.

If nothing is done early to improve the situation of Tiko United and Ngoketounja fc, they may be bound for the amateur league next season.
