Kameni accepts Finke’s choice

The Cameroon coach Volker Finke, did not include the veteran keeper in the Indomitable Lions squad that will start preparation from January 5 for their participation in the African Cup of Nations that will take place in Equatorial Guinea from January 17 to February 8, 2015.

Alex Song, Assou-Ekotto and others are not retained. But the case of Idriss Carlos Kameni was a surprise. The goalkeeper of Malaga is nevertheless incumbent in training and conducts La Liga classic saves.

On holidays in Cameroon to organize a tournament, the keeper is not frustrated and wants more good things for his teammates.

"There is a coach who has the responsibility to choose the best to get them in competition. For him, he thought that being in competition, I was not better than those he has chosen. We must accept it. I remain a supporter of the Indomitable Lions. All I can wish my younger brothers, success and a lot of luck. I hope they do very good things during this AFCON, if possible bring it back to the country, "he said.
