Indomitable Lions to face DRC 6 September in Kinshasa

The Leopards of DR Congo will meet with the indomitable Lions Cameroon 6, 2014. This derby counts for the first day of the playoffs of CAN 2015.

The Leopards of the DRC will receive the indomitable Lions of Cameroon, on Sunday, September 6, 2014, to the Reverend Father Raphaël Stadium, in a Group D match for the first day of qualifying for the Africa Cup of nations in Morocco 2015.

The same weekend at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny stadium, Abidjan, the Elephants of Ivory Coast welcome the Lones of Sierra Leone, in the same frame.

The rest of the calendar of matches of Group D is as follows: 2nd day; Sierra Leone-DRC, Cameroon-Côte d'Ivoire; 3rd day; DRC - Côte d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone-Cameroon, 4th day ivory-DRC, Cameroon-Sierra Leone; 5th day Sierra Leone-Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon-Congo; 6th day DRC-Sierra Leone, Cameroo- Ivory Coast.

The frequency of the matches of the first days and intermediaries, imposed by the CAF (African football Confederation) oscillates between 4 and 5 days only.

"CAF will maintain its calendar of matches throughout the African continent, with the exception of three countries, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, the latter having recorded a number of important cases.

"It has decided to ask the three federations (...) to relocate the matches of their teams participating in CAF competitions in a neutral country and, for a period up to mid-September 2014.
