In anticipation for match for the final qualifying round for the Olympic Games "Rio 2016", Carl Enow Ngachu is preparing his team in Lusaka.

Very often portrayed by the press as martyrs because of the difficult conditions for training, Christine Manie and her teammates have benefitted from special attention in recent weeks.

They had been housed at the very comfortable Caf Excellence Centre in Mbankomo to prepare for the first leg in Yaoundé against Zimbabwe (2-1).

Lionesses arrived in the capital of Zambia on Monday, October 5, 2015, in the evening. The Cameroonian delegation is housed at Cresta Golfview Hotel in Lusaka. The program includes intensive training sessions each day at Zanaco Fc Stadium, with a friendly match scheduled on October 11, 2015, against the Zambian Chipolopolo.

According to the team’s press representative Leocadia Bongeben, Zambia was chosen as the venue for acclimatization because the climate is the same as that of Harare. October 17 is the date for the return match against the Zimbabwe. The Lionesses group has been strengthened by some heavyweights. Among them are Gabriel Aboudi Onguéné as striker and Francise Zouga Edoa as midfielder.

Astride Virlouvet, is already in the den. The young 22-year binational who plays for Issy-les-Moulineaux in France, was given her first call with the selection of Cameroon.

These reinforcements may enable Lionesses to maintain their advantage against Zimbabwe and obtain a visa for the 2016 Olympics.
