Friendly: Choupo, Matip and Enoh absent from the den

The Indomitable Lions are continuing their preparations in Brussels, Belgium, before the friendly match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on October 11, 2015.

After three days of training at Complexe Sportif de Joli Bois in Waterloo, Volker Finke and his men played a test match on Thursday, October 8, 2015.

The opponent, KV Ostenden, the current winner of the Belgian first division championship, the club of Cameroonian midfielder, Sébastien Siani, who was for the first time selected into the Lions’ den. The meeting will take place at the Stadion Albertpark Ostenden at 4 pm local time (3 pm in Cameroon).

The Lions coach was without several senior players for this encounter and the match against Nigeria. They are Eric Maxim Choupo Moting, Joel Matip both Schalke 04 players in Germany and Enoh Eyong Tarkang of Standard Liege in Belgium who are all injured. According to the Team Press Officer, Vincent de Paul Atangana, the respective clubs of the three players informed that they are injured.

The technical staff will have to do with these absences for the match scheduled on October 11 against Nigeria at the Van Roy Denderleeuw stadium at 6 pm, local time (5 pm in Yaoundé).

It is an encounter to prepare the team for the second round of qualifiers for the World Cup 2018 in Russia. In November, Cameroon will face the winner of the preliminary encounter between Somalia and Niger.
