Female football: Nine teams involved

The presidents of clubs now seem to agree with the transitional Commission, while the competition takes its stride this weekend.

Emerging from the meeting between the women's football transitional Commission to the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and presidents of first division clubs on Wednesday, positions seem to have granted regarding the start of the championship.

"Things should start anew. The majority of the subjects of contention were flattened during the discussion. Regarding our case, we got to play eight games in Yaounde. Yaounde-Ngaoundere transport was also supported in return for a delegation of 28 people, "explains Pierre Bamba, Sg Vent du Nord. And he added that "We hope that other grievances will be addressed during the championship. These include an increase in FECAFOOT grant. ". Céline Eko, Commission President appears on the same page. "We hope that the failures of last year will not happen again," she says.

In sporting terms, the season began Saturday, May 2, 2015, with the match between Amazone Fap of Yaounde against Green City of Yaounde. Finally, Amazone has beaten her opponent (2-0).

This match is terminated by a long period of inactivity among practitioners of disciplines and numerous postponements. Including referrals due to misunderstandings between the women's football transitional Commission to FECAFOOT and the club presidents of elite championship.

Some, like Cyril Eyenga Manga, president of Femina Stars Ebolowa, required prerequisites as "the provision of the regulations of the competition and the schedule of meetings, the granting of the subsidy related thereto and a preparatory meeting in that certain provisions are taken to ensure the smooth running of the competition."

Yet, according to Céline Eko, cheques were handed to them. It was the balance of the grant last season. "There are clubs that received up to FCFA 3 million," she said. As for the first installments of the grant for this season, they should be available soon. Apart from the clubs of the northern part of the country that will have 7 or 6 million, the other clubs will receive FCFA 5 million. On Wednesday, the competition regulations and the schedule were presented to participants.

Nine teams will take oart this year: Amazone Fap, Canon girls, AS Diamaré, Femina Ebolowa, AS Green City, Louves Minproff, Panther Security, Etow FC Limbe, and Vent du Nord. "The case is especially AS Police. This is an internal problem. It is not excluded that the club back during the season, "says Céline Eko. There were 14 teams last season, but some have been suspended by the Federation. The competition will have 18 playing days.
