FECAFOOT’S David Mayebi is dead

Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) Marketing Commission President, David Mayebi is dead. He collapsed in Bertoua in the East region of Cameroon during the laying of the foundation stone of a stadium to be constructed by FECAFOOT.

He was a former player and one-time coach of Union Sportive of Douala and founder of the National Union of Football Players of Cameroon.

The sudden rise in the death of football officials in Cameroon of recent days is alarming as the country prepares to host the African Cup of Nations.

David Mayebi dead comes just hours after the remains of Indomitable Lions Patrick Ekeng, who collapsed in Romania during a football match arrived Cameroon.
