Eto’o to have Everton medical today

Former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o is closing in on a two-year deal with Everton, Sportsmail and BBC Sport report.

The Cameroon star is set to have a medical on Tuesday before completing his move to Goodison Park.

Linked with Liverpool after turning down an offer from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam, Eto’o found himself out of the shopping list after the Reds completed the landing of AC Milan’s Mario Balotelli.

The 33-years old has reportedly agreed to drop his wage demands to secure his stay in the English Premier League.

Should the deal go through with the Toffees, Eto’o could face his former teammates on Saturday as Chelsea are travelling to Goodison Park in matchday 3 of the Premier League.
