Eto'o could be considering a move to Arsenal

Former Chelsea’s striker Samuel Eto’o is considering a move to the Emirates Stadium, reports The Sun on Sunday.

A free agent after his one-year deal with the Blues ran out last June, the Cameroon star has been linked with several Serie A and Premier League outfits this summer, and most recently with Merseyside duo of Everton and Liverpool and Ajax Amsterdam.

The Reds have been holding a series of talks with Eto’o’s representatives, while the Dutch giants have come forward with a solid offer for the services of the 33-year old.

However, the former Barcelona and Inter Milan ace is said to favour Arsenal as his next destination.

Gunners’ boss Arsène Wenger has hinted that his summer shopping was not over yet, and Arsenal has little back up for frontman Olivier Giroud as they kicked off their new Premier League campaign with a 2-1 home win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
