DR Congo to name final 23 after Lions friendly

DR Congo will name their final 23-member team after their friendly against Cameroon on Wednesday in Yaounde.

Coach Florent Ibenge has decided to wait until the final minute to name his squad on the January 7 deadline date for submission of final teamlists to CAF.

However, Ibenge is still awaiting the arrival of English Premiership-based midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu of West Brom who is expected to join the team on the eve of the game.

DR Congo are currently in Cameroon where they have been camped since January 1 at the CAF Centre of Excellence at Mbankomo.

The Leopards are in Group B at the 2015 Africa Cup alongside Zambia, Tunisia and Cape Verde.

DR Congo opening their Group B account on January 18 against Zambia in Ebebiyin.
