Cup Of CMR: Kumbo Strikers bow to Dynamo FC 1-2

The lone representative of the Northwest Region at the Cup of Cameroon, Kumbo Strikers, on Sunday, September 14, 2014 lost to Dynamo FC of Douala 1-2 in the first leg of the 1/8th finals.

Kumbo Strikers that beat League two teams to make it to the quarter finals are hoping to draw inspiration from the 2000 heroics when they took the trophy across the Mungo for the first time.

The Kimbo Boys will need to score in Tobin without conceding a goal in order to sail to the next round. They will be expected to put in their best performance in order to frustrate Dynamo’s quest for a fourth Cup of Cameroon trophy.

Meanwhile, Southwest Region lone flag bearer, NQSA game against Douala Athletic Club was postponed to a later date. Also, the classic encounter between Tonnerre Yaounde and Coton Sport of Yaounde was also postponed.

In all, of the eight matches announced, only six were played, with four wins and two draws.
