Cosmos moves to the next stage of African league

The Cameroon team, Cosmos of Bafia has qualified to the next stage of the 2015 African Cup Competition after beating Uganda’s KCCA FC 3-0.

During the away leg that took place this Sunday 1st March 2015, the Cameroon team that lost 1-0 in the first leg scored in the first half thanks to Cyrille Ekambi before adding two more goals after the first half.

KCCA FC tried to fight back, enjoying most of the ball possession in the remaining 15 minutes but unfortunately failed to pull an equaliser in the game.

In response to the pressure from Uganda`s KCCA FC, Cosmos of Bafia doubled their lead at the 70th minute through a header by Cameroon`s Francis Tombi.

As Cosmos wanted more, with a sustained pressure on their opponent, Tombi once more added a goal to make it 3-0 in favour of Cosmos of Bafia.

KCCA FC has joined other East African teams that bowed out in the preliminary round like Azam FC who were eliminated by Al Merriekh, KMKM of Zanzibar and Burundi’s LLB Academic.

Cosmos of Bafia will now face Tunisia’s Esperance in the next round of the 2015 African Cup Competition.
