Cosmos jittery ahead of KCCA clash

The match between KCCA and Cosmos De Bafia at the CAF Champions League kicks off today at 4:30pm.

Knowledge they say is power, with this quote in mind, Cosmos De Bafia camp is anxious as they lack information on KCCA team.

The two sides will be battling for a CAF Champions League first round slot at Namboole today, Saturday.

“We virtually know nothing about KCCA, even when we tried to search the internet, we could find little information about the club. “We need something (good) to build on our return to Yaounde for the return leg,” Libiih complained.

Libiih’s counterpart Abdallah Mubiru is on the contrary better prepared. “I have an idea of what the visitors have in store,” explained Mubiru revealing that some homework had given him an insight in the West African.

Mubiru however says his emphasis is not on the opponents. “Our preparations have been centered on improving KCCA.”

Front runners Herman Wasswa and William Wadri have the big task of ensuring that KCCA gets off to a winning start ahead of the Douala return leg.

One thing Mubiru prides in is a solid midfield. He will most likely deploy Owen Kasule and Tom Masiko as attacking midfielders with Ivan Ntege slightly behind and Hakim Senkumba as the defending midfielder.

Goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan is one of the rocks in defence. Sakka Mpiima is likely to be at right fullback and Simon Namwanja on the left. Ayub Kizza and Ronnie Kisekka are at central defence.

Cosmos De Bafia were runners-up to Cameroon giants Coton Sport in the country’s top league. Libiih brings a wealth of experience having played for the Indomitable Lions at the 1990 World Cup.
