Cameroon international, Tottenham Hotspur striker, Clinton Njie, visited the Indomitable Lionesses at their training camp at Muea-Buea as they prepare for the upcoming Africa Women Cup of Nations on November 19, 2016, in Cameroon.

The Indomitable Lions player, Clinton Njie, paid the Lionesses a surprise visit on June 18 to encourage them as they go into the first preparatory phase ahead of the Africa Women Cup of Nations.

Njie, who is on holidays in his hometown, Buea, said it was wise to pay the Lionesses a visit and also let them know that Cameroonians are behind them.

“I heard the Lionesses were in Buea, so I thought it wise to visit them and give them words of encouragement since I am also in Buea. The objective of my visit is to have a chat with them and also encourage them for the upcoming Africa Women Cup of Nations. Also, I wanted to let them know that Cameroonians also care about them,” Njie explained.

The Spurs striker hailed the Lionesses for the good work they have been doing and urged them to work hard for the Africa Women Cup of Nations.

“I congratulate the Lionesses for the good job they have been doing,” Njie said.

The Lionesses played a friendly encounter against South West Regional Division Two side, Cinyodev in which they were beaten by the regional side 1-2.

Meanwhile, on June 24, the Lionesses would play a friendly match against the SW Women selection at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium.

The Lionesses first preparation phase at the Mount Cameroon Sports Academy in Muea will run from June 16 to 30.
