After three months of downtime for injury, leaving the infirmary is imminent for the Tottenham striker.

Clinton Njie is in a recovery phase, and his coach, Mauricio Pochettino, gave assurance that his player recovered pretty good health, even if he is not directly operational for the movement of Spurs to Anfield this Saturday on the lawn of Liverpool on the occasion of the 32nd day.

“Clinton is doing well, but needs a little more time,” said Pochettino via the official Twitter account of Tottenham. Reassuring news for the 22-year old player hit by a knee injury since December, which forced him to an operation that went pretty well.

This ugly injury was already preceded by the wilderness of the former Lyon player, almost always left on the bench during his first months at White Hart Lane.

And the Cameroonian has no secret to share his mad desire to regain the lawns, especially this late in the season: “I think it’s important for me to come back and join the team because they are doing a great job,“ he recently said on the club’s official website.

“I’m still hungry. I still want to play and I want to prove to the fans that I can do it. I just want to get back into shape and do a good job, “he added.
