Cameroon supporters: 'Song should never represent the country again'

Cameroon's supporters were outraged by midfielder Alexandre Song's behaviour in the Indomitable Lions 4-0 loss to Croatia on Wednesday.

Song received a straight red card, the eighth in the Indomitable Lions World Cup history, for a assaulting Mario Mandzukic with his elbow during the first half of the encounter in Manaus.

The West Africans subsequently bowed out of the tournament, and are now in danger of losing all three of their group games for the second World Cup in succession.

Cameroon fans were rightfully ticked off following the encounter with many fans calling for Song's head.

One fan told Camfoot.com on the streets of Yaoundé: "Song should never play for Cameroon again, he doesn't understand football. He must be removed from the selection of the Indomitable Lions."

Another said:"Song lacks maturity," while another suggested that the 26-year-old attend military training.
