Cameroon need to beat Switzerland

Lionesses Lionesses

The Lionesses were motivated to face Nadeshiko, the Japan team in their second match in Vancouver. Cameroon’s Lionesses ranked 53rd in the world did not expect the game to turn out the way it did against Japan’s Nadeshiko, the defending champions and the world’s fourth.

The match was played last Friday in Vancouver but on Saturday in Yaoundé. The match was of the second day of the group stage of the 7th edition of the Women's World Cup.

After their first game facing the women's team of Ecuador (6-0), the women of Carl Enow Ngachu, Cameroon coach lacked realism and failed to cope better with the women of Norio Sasaki, Coach of Japan, which means he has to implement a more aggressive attack system in the next match.

Switzerland is ranked second in the group because of their score against Ecuador 10-1. The match is scheduled for tomorrow at 15h, 22h local time in Cameroon.

The winner of the little final in Group C will join Japan and the first to be selected to qualify for the knockout.
