CONFIRMED: Mexico vs Cameroon starting line-ups

The second game of the 2014 World Cup kicks off in under an hour and the starting line-ups have been confirmed for the showdown between Mexico and Cameroon.

Both of these sides may consider needing to win this match to progress with their final two matches coming against tournament favourites Brazil, and Croatia.

The two line-ups are as follows:

Mexico:

Guillermo Ochoa, Francisco Javier Rodríguez, Rafael Márquez, Paul Aguilar, Miguel Layún, Héctor Herrera, Giovani dos Santos, Andrés Guardado, José Juan Vázquez, Oribe Peralta

Cameroon:

Charles Itandje, Cédric Djeugoué, Aurélien Chedjou, Nicolas N’Koulou, Benoît Assou-Ekotto, Alex Song, Eyong Enoh, Stéphane Mbia, Eric-Maxim Choupo-Mouting, Benjamin Moukandjo, Samuel Eto’o

This game will be Mexico’s 50th in the history of the World Cup. They have never progressed past the quarter-finals. Both times they reached the final eight was in their home country in 1970 and 1986.

Mexico head coach Miguel Herrera has left Manchester United striker Javier Hernández and talented striker Raúl Jiménez out of the starting line-up. Top scorer in qualifying Oribe Peralta is partnered by Giovani dos Santos up front.
