CMR, CIV mail it in during injury time with qualification in hand

At least pretend like you still want to score, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.

Ivory Coast only needed one point to qualify for the African Cup of Nations finals against already-qualified Cameroon on Wednesday, and it was very evident as the two sides played out injury time with the game tied at 0-0.

"Played" may even be too generous of a word to describe it.

With Cameroon content with qualification and Ivory Coast hoping that their opponents would play along, Les Elephants simply enjoyed a casual kickabout in their own half during injury time.

The Cameroonian players, with nothing to play for, hardly even pretended to apply any pressure, as Ivory Coast played out a popular Simpsons-like scene as they clinched qualification.
