Barcelona sign Cameroon starlet

Barcelona’s Cameroon starlet Lionel Zacharie Enguene has put pen to paper on his first professional contract at the Camp Nou on Wednesday.

The 18-year old midfielder is tied down until June 2018 with the Blaugranas.

Enguene joined the club’s Youth academy in 2007 at 11 years of age through the Samuel Eto’o Foundation, displaying an impressive potential at all youth levels.

“I am very happy to remain linked with this great club and to have signed my first professional contract. Thanks to Barça for their trust. Now time to give everything,” he said.

The Spanish giants are nurturing many youth talents from Cameroon, including goalkeeper Joseph Fabrice Ondoua, centre-back Frank Bagnack and striker Jean-Marie Dongou, all three called-up by Indomitable Lions' coach Volker Finke for the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2015 qualifiers.
