Bafoussam Omnisport Stadium inaugurated

Sports and Physical Education Minister, Bidoung Mkpatt has inaugurated the stadium in Kouekong in the outskirts of the West regional capital Bafoussam.

The inauguration comes on the heels of caf inspection mission conducted by Malian Souleymane Magassouba.

The 20,000 capacity stadium with fourth reserved for the handicap is the carbon copy of the Limbe Stadium only for the beautiful view to the sea that makes Limbe stands out distinct.

With 69 lamps, additional 13 on standby on four pools at the four corners of the stadium, nocturnal games can be played.

Constructed by the China Machinery and Engineering Company, the stadium has a natural turf, an athletics pitch, tribune, conference rooms and VIP rooms.

The stadium would be inaugurated with two exhibition games, U-17 women’s national team against a selection of women’s football club and U-20 against Tout Puissant de L’ouest.
