The Bafana coach has told Goal that the national team are ready to conquer and that they wont be focusing too much on the negatives.

Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba has said that in spite of facing injury problems, the squad will remain positive ahead of their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Cameroon on Saturday.

Striker Dino Ndlovu was the first casualty in the squad, after pulling out of the team due to injury with Platinum Stars striker Ndumiso Mabena replacing the Cyprus-based star.

Thereafter, it was reported that defenders Thabo Matlaba and Anele Ngcongca were facing various injury struggles but eventually pulled through.

Dutch-based midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo limped off the training pitch on Tuesday after feeling his thigh muscles.

Mashaba thus said that the team will forget about the negatives and focus on the task at hand.

"It's true we started the camp on a bad note with a number of injuries,” Mashaba told Goal.

“We can't be focusing on the negatives.

“We have to look at the positives and believe that we can do it.

He concluded by saying that they are ready to conquer and know the magnitude of the task in facing Cameroon.

“We are ready to conquer and as I have said before, we know this is a must win encounter and we are going for a win in Cameroon," Mashaba said.
