Alexandre Song wants to return to England

Alexandre Song has not created a bang at Barca, the team he called his dream team. Since arriving there in 2012, he has not had plenty of playing time, the one thing that keeps a player in shape and ready for a big move.

Its thus not surprising that he’s mulling a move, maybe at the close of the year. During the last transfer window in Europe, he turned down Italy and Inter Milan. His eyes are on England and the premier league that made him.

“I’ll return to England, that’s for sure,” said the former Arsenal star. “Currently, I do not think so. If I have to leave Barcelona one day, it will be a transfer to England. It will take until the end of the season; I take stock and see what I will do for my future,” he said in the show Club Sunday on beIN SPORTS.

While a departure next summer seems inevitable, we now know why Song rejected last winter deals with Italy and Inter Milan.
