2016 Female AFCON: Eight competing teams known

The eight countries to feature in the 12th Africa Women’s Cup of Nations have been made known.

The eight countries include:

- Nigeria (nine-time winners, twelfth participation)

- Egypt (second participation)

- Zimbabwe (fourth participation)

- Equatorial Guinea (two wins, fifth participation)

- Ghana (eleventh participation)

- South Africa (eleventh participation)

- Cameroon (host, eleventh participation)

- Kenya, (first participation)

The competition will hold from November 19 to December 3, 2016 in Yaounde and Limbe.
