Frederic Essaka installed as king of Deido

Frédéric James Ekwalla Essaka age 38, has been installed as new king of Deido by the prefect of the Wouri, Naseri Paul Bea on Saturday March 28, 2015.

Frederic will continue his duties after his appointment by his family last year and approval from authorities expressed in May 2014.

He follows a line which his father, feu Essaka Ekwalla who died in September 2013, served in his capacity as a representative for the people of Deido.

Frederic has been called upon to assume multiple functions, beyond the traditions of the Deido Douala, which he has accepted.

The incumbent administration with which he must work has reminded him through the prefect how intense the workload is.

Frédéric James Ekwalla Essaka will also ensure security, good health and peace of the area where a number of dance halls, bars and religious communities are sited since it is not an entirely safe place.

Another thorny issue in the area has been the trade of lands. With all these key issues in the place, the newly installed king is expected to contribute his ultimate best to ensure the well-being of the people of Deido.
